Elon Musk sells $7 billion in Tesla inventory, gearing up for Twitter battle

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has given himself some monetary cushion by promoting almost $7 billion in Tesla inventory.

In April, the Tesla CEO mentioned he had no plans of promoting any extra Tesla inventory after promoting about $4 billion value, but six Securities and Change Fee filings reveal that Musk offered 7,924,107 extra shares between Aug. 5 and 9 for $6.9 billion.

Tesla investor Sawyer Merritt tweeted at Musk late Tuesday asking if the tech mogul was in actual fact completed promoting.
