Chamblee was referring to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, who chairs Saudi Arabia's Public Funding Fund which owns the breakaway sequence.
A US intelligence report named bin Salman as answerable for approving the operation that led to the 2018 homicide of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Bin Salman has denied involvement in Khashoggi's homicide.
Chamblee continued within the podcast saying that Reed can be keen to play golf for Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot and Vladimir Putin.
The lawsuit cites Chamblee's feedback on the podcast for instance of the golf commentator reporting false data, as Reed solely performs for LIV and has by no means aligned himself with bin Salman.
The lawsuit claims Chamblee's remarks are completed on behalf of the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, "to be able to attempt to remove LIV and its golfers as opponents in order that the PGA Tour and Golf Channel can proceed to rake in billions of dollars in income."
