Man who introduced crossbow to Windsor Citadel charged underneath Treason Act

A man in the UK was charged with meaning to "injure or alarm" Queen Elizabeth II following his arrest after he introduced a crossbow to Windsor Citadel on Christmas Day.

Jaswant Chail is being charged underneath Part 2 of the Treason Act of 1842, in keeping with a Tuesday report.

He's charged with "discharging or aiming firearms, or throwing or utilizing any offensive matter or weapon, with intent to injure or alarm her Majesty."

Chail can also be going through expenses pertaining to possession of an offensive weapon and loss of life threats. The 20-year-old is being held in custody.

He'll seem earlier than the Westminster Magistrates' Court docket on Aug. 17.
