Moto GP will introduce dash races on Saturdays from subsequent season – Muricas News

The president of the Worldwide Bike Federation (FIM), Jorge Viegas, introduced at the moment that subsequent season within the Moto GP championship, dash races can be held each weekend.

“It’s time to present Moto GP more room on tv, and we'd like extra viewers, we'd like a greater ‘present’ and we have to fill Saturdays,” stated Viegas at a joint convention with Dorna (promoter of the championship) and Worldwide Affiliation of Racing Groups (IRTA).

Dash races can be held throughout every race weekend and can final roughly half of the primary race.

The winner of the dash race will obtain 12 factors, and the final level can be gained by the ninth-placed driver.

Dash races can be run on Saturday from 15.00.

The proposed format is harking back to the adjustments adopted by Method 1 final yr, besides that in that championship three dash races are run throughout the season.
