King Charles III has been pictured together with his official purple field in a photograph launched by Buckingham Palace on Friday as the brand new monarch takes up his official duties following the dying and state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

The official purple field is used to obtain authorities paperwork by the King and has been strongly related to the British monarchy. The field is claimed to comprise papers from the British authorities and a few Commonwealth nations that are despatched to the monarch. Queen Elizabeth II was often pictured with the locked purple despatch field.

The picture was taken within the Eighteenth Century Room at Buckingham Palace final week, Reuters reported. Charles's late dad and mom Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will also be seen in a photograph close to the King.

Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully on September 8. The Britain's longest-serving monarch was aged 96.
