LISTEN: House Power introduces 'Semper Supra' as service anthem

The House Power has chosen "Semper Supra" as its service anthem.

The track, whose title interprets to "all the time above," was composed by Air Power veteran Jamie Teachenor, working with Chief of House Operations Gen. John "Jay" Raymond and Coast Guard musician Sean Nelson, in keeping with House Power News. Teachenor approached Raymond quickly after the creation of the House Power, and the 2 started work on the track nearly instantly. The finished model was offered on the 2022 Air & House Forces Affiliation Air, House and Cyber Convention in Maryland on Tuesday.

"The track was a protracted work in progress as a result of I needed it to embody all of the capabilities that the House Power provides and its imaginative and prescient," Treachenor stated. The track took nearly three years to finish.

"This can be a once-in-a-lifetime alternative to determine a House Power track that can be a part of our tradition and heritage for years to return," Raymond stated. "Our traditions are a part of the material that weave us all collectively as we execute our missions side-by-side; I can be proud to sing 'Semper Supra' alongside my fellow Guardians," referring to the title of House Power members.

"I obtained the melody and phrases from James, and he needed me to assist add the concord and to orchestrate it," Nelson stated of his contribution to the undertaking. "At first, it began with singing and the piano. I turned conversant in the opposite branches' songs, however I needed this one to have its personal fashionable spin to replicate what the House Power is — fashionable, new and really superior."

The most recent composition joins "The Military Goes Rolling Alongside," the "Marines' Hymn," "Anchors Aweigh," "The U.S. Air Power" (also called the "Wild Blue Yonder"), and "Semper Paratus" as a part of the Armed Forces Medley.
