Magnitude 6.8 earthquake hits Mexico, third this week | World News

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck western Mexico early on Thursday, just a few days after a serious temblor killed two folks and battered a whole bunch of buildings within the nation, however there have been no fast studies of great injury.

Shaken residents of Mexico Metropolis scrambled out of their houses because the earthquake alarm sounded and buildings shuddered. Shortly afterwards, Mexico Metropolis Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum stated on Twitter that there have been no preliminary studies of injury within the capital.

The quake, which the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) first measured at magnitude 7.0, was weaker and deeper than Monday's temblor, hanging at a depth of 20.7 km (12.9 miles).

The epicenter of Thursday earthquake was recorded within the state of Michoacan, not removed from Monday's temblor.

Mexico's civil safety authorities and President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador stated there have been no preliminary studies of damages in Michoacan or the encircling areas.

Monday's magnitude 7.6 quake struck on the anniversary of lethal earthquakes in 1985 and 2017, killing two folks within the Pacific port of Manzanillo.
