Voting within the referendum on becoming a member of Russia started this morning within the Russian-controlled areas of Ukraine.
The separatist authorities had introduced a referendum in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye after a counter-offensive by the Ukrainian military, which recovered elements of the territory in latest weeks.
