British frigate intercepts £15m price of medicine in Arabian Sea – Muricas News

The British Royal Navy frigate HMS Montrose intercepted a fishing schooner carrying lots of of kilograms of methamphetamine tablets within the Arabian Sea. The worth of the drug cargo exceeds £15 million.

The operation went on for a number of hours. A ship-based helicopter noticed a suspicious vessel. The frigate overtook the schooner, on board of which a squad of commandos was landed. First, they discovered a small quantity of medicine, then a cache of methamphetamine was found. The whole mass of manufacturing was 870 kilograms.

HMS Montrose, whose dwelling port is Plymouth, has been within the Center East since 2019, offering freedom of navigation, stopping the smuggling of medicine and weapons. Because the starting of 2022, that is already the fifth drug cargo intercepted by the ship.
