Nikolay Storonsky, the 38-year-old co-founder and chief government officer of London-based fintech startup Revolut Ltd., has renounced Russian citizenship amid his outspoken opposition to the battle in Ukraine.
“Nik is a British citizen. Earlier this 12 months he renounced his citizenship by delivery to Russia. His place on the battle is on the general public document: the battle is completely abhorrent and he stays resolute in calling for an instantaneous finish to the preventing,” a spokesman for Revolut stated.
Storonsky’s transfer got here earlier than his father, an government at a unit of Russia’s Gazprom, was sanctioned by Ukraine earlier this month, the spokesman stated. The information was first reported by the Telegraph.
