North Korea fires missile after threatening 'fiercer' step

North Korea launched a short-range ballistic missile Thursday, hours after threatening to launch “fiercer” responses to the U.S. growing its safety dedication to its allies South Korea and Japan, in accordance with the Related Press.

In response to reviews, the missile was fired from the Wonsan space of North Korea and landed within the waters between the Korean Peninsula and Japan.

“U.S. commitments to the protection of the Republic of Korea and Japan stay ironclad,” U.S. Indo-Pacific Command stated in a press release.

Thursday's launch is the primary in eight days and the most recent in a sequence of latest assessments, the Related Press reviews.

In a press release from the summit, President Joe Biden stated Japan and North Korea are each crucial allies, and for years the “international locations have been engaged in a trilateral cooperation out of a shared concern … for the nuclear and missile threats North Korea poses … to our individuals. And North Korea continues provocation — provocative habits. This partnership is much more vital than it’s ever been.”
