Eight folks died on the Italian vacation island of Ischia when a landslide brought on by heavy rain engulfed some buildings, infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini stated.

"There are eight folks lifeless within the Ischia landslide. Rescuers are working in troublesome situations," he stated. Earlier it was reported that 13 folks have been lacking after the landslides.

In Casamicciola Terme, on the north of the island, "a landslide engulfed a home, and searches are below manner for potential lacking individuals", the fireplace service stated in a primary replace.
