Pak denies claims by British media over uranium in aircraft cargo: Report | World News

Pakistan on Thursday denied stories that a uranium-tainted package deal found on an Oman Air flight that landed at London's Heathrow airport final month originated from Karachi. Overseas workplace spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra was quoted by Pak every day Daybreak as saying the stories are 'not factual' and that United Kingdom officers had not shared such data.

"No data to this impact has been shared with us formally. We're assured the stories will not be factual," Zahra stated, after British media claimed the scrap metallic cargo - now the topic of a counter-terrorsim investigation in that nation - got here from Pakistan.

Commander Richard Smith, head of the counter-terrorism unit of the Metropolitan Police Service, has promised town authorities's Police and Crime Committee a full inquiry.

The package deal arrived at Heathrow's Terminal 4 on December 29 by way of Oman Air flight WY 101.

Nevertheless, British broadcaster Sky News quoted a former head of the military's chemical weapons unit as expressing concern over any cargo of uranium on passenger planes.
