Iranian police resumed warnings to girls that they have to put on necessary hijabs even in automobiles amid unrest within the nation following the loss of life of Mahsa Amini, AFP reported. Widespread demonstrations have gripped Iran because the September 16 loss of life of 22-year previous Mahsa Amini following her arrest in Tehran. She was arrested for not sporting hijab correctly, thus, breaching Iran's strict gown code for ladies.

Fars information company quoted a senior Iran police officer who stated that the "new stage" of the Nazer-1 programme was being rolled out "throughout the nation by the police". The programme which was launched in 2020 amid issues the "removing of hijab in automobiles", Fars reported. Below the programme, care homeowners could be despatched a textual content message alerting them of a gown code violation of their car and warning of "authorized" motion would even be repeated.

"The removing of hijab has been noticed in your car: It's essential to respect the norms of the society and ensure this motion just isn't repeated," learn a message despatched by police and posted on social media, AFP reported.

Iran's controversial morality police have a mandate to enter public areas to verify on the implementation of the strict gown code. However amid the protests, girls have been seen and not using a hijab.

In early December, Iran's prosecutor common Mohammad Jafar Montazeri had stated that the morality police had been closed down whereas critics remained sceptical of his feedback.
