Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) is not going to search reelection in 2024, opening a probably aggressive Senate seat Republicans will goal as a pickup alternative.
Stabenow, a member of Democratic Senate management, introduced her resolution Thursday morning, saying she needs to clear the way in which for a crop of recent political leaders.
“Impressed by a brand new era of leaders, I've determined to cross the torch within the U.S. Senate. I'm asserting immediately that I cannot search re-election and can depart the U.S. Senate on the finish of my time period on January 3, 2025," she stated in a press release.
