The Alfred Döblin Prize, donated by the author Günter Grass (1927-2015), goes to the Leipzig-based writer Jan Kuhlbrodt (“The Return of the Animals”). The 57-year-old obtained the EUR 15,000 award on Saturday on the Berlin Literary Colloquium.
