The White Home on Wednesday denied any involvement in an alleged drone assault on the Kremlin, after Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov accused Washington of guiding Ukraine to launch the assault.
"We had nothing to do with this," stated John Kirby, spokesperson for the White Home Nationwide Safety Council, on MSNBC.
"Peskov is simply mendacity there, pure and easy," he added.
Russia alleges that Ukraine carried out a "terrorist assault" in a single day Tuesday into Wednesday with two drones, aiming to kill President Vladimir Putin, a cost which Kyiv has denied.
Peskov, Putin's longtime press secretary, stated earlier Wednesday that "choices on such assaults are usually not made in Kyiv, however in Washington."
"Kyiv solely does what it's informed to do," he added.
The incident on the Kremlin comes amid a number of different latest explosions and path derailments on Russian and occupied Ukrainian territory.
Kirby reiterated in his interview to MSNBC on Wednesday that Washington doesn't help or condone assaults by Ukraine outdoors its borders.
"We have been clear with them publicly and we have been clear with them privately that we don't encourage nor will we allow them to strike outdoors Ukraine," he stated.
