Jeffrey Epstein suicide: DOJ watchdog says demise was results of negligence and misconduct by guards

Jeffrey Epstein's demise was a results of "negligence and misconduct" from guards that allowed him to commit suicide, a Justice Division watchdog decided.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons didn't assign Epstein a cellmate and guards allowed too many mattress linens to be left in his cell, which aided in his suicide, Inspector Normal Michael Horowitz mentioned. Epstein died by suicide in New York Metropolis in August 2019.
