Two passenger planes bumped into each other on a runway at a severe Tokyo airport Saturday nevertheless no accidents had been reported, Japanese media critiques acknowledged.

A Thai Airways Worldwide jet headed to Bangkok unintentionally hit an Eva Airways airplane headed to Taipei at Haneda airport and the runway was subsequently closed and some flights had been delayed, the critiques acknowledged.

Footage broadcast by TBS TV News confirmed two enterprise jets stopped on the similar runway.

The airways, the airport and Japan’s Transport Ministry weren’t immediately obtainable for comment and didn’t reply repeated calls.

The explanation for the accident was not clear.

A winglet on the Thai Airways airplane appeared to have been damaged, in accordance with pictures and media critiques. Winglets are the vertical projections on the tip of the wing that cut back drag.
