85-year-old Florida intercourse offender who tried to buy youngster dies in custody

An 85-year-old inmate died in a Florida jail Thursday after being most lately arrested in August for violating his probation.

Hellmuth Kolb was already a intercourse offender when he allegedly approached a mom to supply her $100,000 for her younger daughter.

Kolb grew to become a registered intercourse offender when he was convicted of making an attempt to buy a distinct youngster for $200,000 in 2018. He pleaded no contest to costs of false imprisonment and battery. A part of Kolb's probation prohibited him from contact with minors.

"[Kolb] was transported from the jail to Halifax Well being Medical Middle on Tuesday for a medical problem and died on the hospital on Thursday," Volusia County spokesman Gary Davidson stated in an announcement. "The Volusia Sheriff's Workplace is conducting a routine demise investigation, which is customary."

Officers haven't launched Kolb's explanation for demise. The Volusia County public affairs workplace didn't reply to the Washington Examiner's request for remark.

The Volusia County jail booked Kolb with out bond on Aug. 25, in keeping with courtroom paperwork.
